The 2005/06 Roma home shirt was produced by Diadora. Its traditional dark-red base was disrupted by prominent orange and black striping down the left side, with further orange detailing through the sleeves.

The squad featured Francesco Totti, Daniele De Rossi, Alberto Aquilani, Cristian Chivu and Philippe Mexès. Under Luciano Spalletti, Roma produced an 11-match Serie A winning streak during a season that helped establish the tactical foundations of one of the most distinctive Roma sides of the 2000s.
