Iconic Nike midnight navy home shirt featuring a slim offset red stripe, white collar detailing, Opel sponsor and embroidered PSG crest.

This shirt captures Paris Saint-Germain during the beginning of Ronaldinho’s European adventure, as Luis Fernández’s side entered the new millennium with one of the most unusual interpretations of the famous Hechter design.

The design featured an almost black/navy base, with the traditional red central stripe reduced and shifted towards the left side of the chest rather than running cleanly down the middle. The white detailing around the collar and cuffs was deliberately minimal, giving the shirt a much darker, more understated appearance than classic PSG shirts. The Opelsponsor and embroidered PSG crest completed the look.

The 2001/02 squad included Ronaldinho, Jay-Jay Okocha, Nicolas Anelka, Mauricio Pochettino, Gabriel Heinzeand Mikel Arteta. Most importantly, this was Ronaldinho’s first season in European football, after joining PSG from Grêmio.

PSG finished fourth in Division 1, missing out on Champions League qualification, but the season is remembered for the first glimpse of the extraordinary talent Ronaldinho would soon unleash on European football.
