Classic black-and-white adidas Newcastle United home shirt from 1997–99, finished with gold detailing and the iconic Newcastle Brown Ale sponsor.

The 1997–99 Newcastle home shirt retained the club’s famous vertical stripes but gave them a late-90s adidas treatment, with a black collar, gold branding and three stripes across the shoulders. The circular Newcastle Brown Ale sponsor completed the look.

The design was worn by players including Alan Shearer, David Ginola, Gary Speed, Stuart Pearce and Shay Given. Newcastle reached consecutive FA Cup finals in 1998 and 1999, making this shirt particularly associated with Wembley cup runs even as the club went through managerial change.
