This shirt captures Manchester United at the beginning of the Premier League era, while paying tribute to the club’s origins as Newton Heath.

The design featured a striking yellow and green half-and-half body, with green sleeves, a green lace-up collar and black detailing. The classic Umbro branding and Sharp sponsor completed one of the most distinctive shirts of the early Premier League years.

The 1992–94 period featured legendary names including Eric Cantona, Ryan Giggs, Mark Hughes, Steve Bruce, Paul Ince, Bryan Robson and Peter Schmeichel. It also marked the beginning of the emergence of the famous Class of 92, with players such as David Beckham, Gary Neville and Nicky Butt beginning to break through.

The Newton Heath tribute became part of a hugely successful period for United. Ferguson’s side won the inaugural Premier League title in 1992–93, ending a 26-year wait, before retaining the championship and adding the FA Cup in 1993–94.
