Manchester United 90/92 Kids Away
Iconic adidas blue and white Manchester United away shirt featuring the famous “Snowflake” pattern, red detailing and Sharp sponsor.
The 1990/92 Manchester United away shirt is an absolute early-90s classic, worn during the formative years of Sir Alex Ferguson’s Manchester United revolution. Produced by adidas, its bold blue-and-white geometric design was unlike almost anything else on English pitches at the time.
The shirt features an eye-catching light-blue and white all-over zig-zag “Snowflake” pattern, with a white V-neck edged in red and blue. Purple adidas shoulder stripes with red trim add another splash of colour, while the classic red Sharp sponsor, Trefoil logo and embroidered United crest complete one of the most distinctive shirts of the period.
And the players wearing it were the beginning of something special. Mark Hughes, Brian McClair, Bryan Robson, Paul Ince, Lee Sharpe, Ryan Giggs and Denis Irwin all featured during this period, with Ferguson gradually assembling the team that would go on to dominate English football.
The shirt is particularly associated with the 1991/92 League Cup triumph, when United beat Nottingham Forest 1–0 at Wembley, with Brian McClair scoring the winner. It was also famously worn in the extraordinary 6–2 victory over Arsenal, while the 1990/91 season saw United win the European Cup Winners’ Cup, beating Barcelona 2–1 in Rotterdam with two goals from Mark Hughes.
A true Old Trafford cult classic — the Snowflake pattern, Sharp, Hughes, Giggs, Ince and the beginnings of Ferguson’s dynasty, all wrapped up in one unforgettable adidas shirt.
