Liverpool 96/97 Kids Away

Iconic Reebok black away shirt featuring crisp white detailing, Carlsberg sponsor and embroidered Liverpool crest.

This shirt captures Liverpool at the start of the Reebok era, as Roy Evans’ side entered a new chapter with an exciting young generation emerging at Anfield.

The design featured a deep black base, with a clean white V-neck and double white sleeve trim. The large Liverpool crest with its red border, white embroidered Reebok logo and Carlsberg sponsor completed a simple but incredibly sharp 90s design.

The 1996–97 season featured Robbie Fowler, Steve McManaman, Jamie Redknapp, John Barnes, Patrik Berger, David James and Jamie Carragher, with Fowler and McManaman becoming increasingly important to Evans’ young side.

The shirt was part of Reebok’s first season making Liverpool’s kits, ending the club’s long adidas partnership. The 1996/97 campaign saw Liverpool finish fourth in the Premier League, while also competing in the UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup.
