The 2010/11 third kit used a predominantly black base with yellow adidas stripes and trim, creating a sharp contrast to Liverpool’s traditional red. Standard Chartered appeared on the front in its first season as principal sponsor.

The campaign featured Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher, Fernando Torres, Dirk Kuyt and, from January, Luis Suárez. Kenny Dalglish returned as manager midway through the season and oversaw a strong second-half revival.
