This shirt captures Liverpool at the beginning of a new adidas era, during a period that brought some unforgettable European nights at Anfield and another Champions League final.

The design featured a classic red base, with clean white detailing around the round collar, adidas shoulder stripes, side piping and lower hem. The embroidered adidas logo and Liverpool crest, together with the Carlsberg sponsor, completed a wonderfully simple and timeless Reds design.

The 2006–08 period featured a brilliant generation including Steven Gerrard, Xabi Alonso, Jamie Carragher, Luis García, Peter Crouch and John Arne Riise, before Fernando Torres arrived in 2007 and immediately became one of the Premier League’s most feared strikers.

The defining moment came in the 2006–07 Champions League campaign, when Liverpool reached the final in Athens. They faced AC Milan once again, but this time Milan took the trophy with a 2–1 victory. The following season saw Torres announce himself spectacularly, scoring 33 goals in all competitions during his first campaign at Anfield.

The shirt was worn across two seasons, 2006–07 and 2007–08, making it particularly memorable as one of the first shirts of Liverpool’s new adidas era.
