Boca Juniors 96/97 Kids Home

Iconic Nike navy and yellow Boca Juniors home shirt featuring the famous Quilmes chest sponsor.

A genuine South American football classic, the Boca Juniors 1996/97 home shirt belongs to one of the most romantic eras in the club’s history. Predominantly deep navy blue, the shirt carries Boca’s unmistakable wide yellow band across the chest, giving it an instantly recognisable look that has become synonymous with the club.

The Nike design is beautifully simple but packed with character. The broad yellow horizontal chest band is edged with fine white stripes, while the polo-style collar and sleeve cuffs feature yellow trim. Across the centre sits the unmistakable Cerveza Quilmes sponsor, giving the shirt that authentic mid-90s South American football aesthetic.

And then there is the player nostalgia. This is Diego Maradona’s final season playing for Boca Juniors, alongside names such as Claudio Caniggia. Maradona’s return to Boca remains one of the great football stories, and this shirt represents the final chapter of his extraordinary club career.

There is also a brilliant piece of history attached to the shirt: Maradona’s final competitive season at Boca, culminating in his final match for the club in October 1997. It is exactly the kind of shirt that feels bigger than the season itself — a snapshot of Maradona, La Bombonera and the raw character of 1990s Argentine football.

A legendary Boca shirt from the final chapter of Maradona’s playing career — pure 90s Argentine football nostalgia and an absolute must-have for retro collectors.
